Grow the long, wear them proud, and for god's sake keep them waxed.

Maybe its the start of football season, the changing leaves or even just the chill in the air but there's just something about Fall that makes a man want to grow a mustache. But why grow one alone when you can do so with a group of friends and some strangers?

September 1st marks the start of the Rainier Group and Friends' 3rd annual "Month o' Mustache". Details can be found in the posts below but basically grow a mustache for a month, revel in it, and then get together with other mustachioed friends at the end of the month to celebrate your accomplishment

For those looking for inspiration, pictures from last year's mustache outing can be admired here: http://picasaweb.google.com/tovendale/MustachePhotos.

ultimate fight night makes my stache burn!

In a tragic turn of events my inspiration for my week pathetic mustache was dropped to the floor of the octagon. Chuck Liddel was beat down like the over the hill washed up ultimate fighter he is. At least he was beat by a man born in Butte MT. I bet there are some pretty amazing staches in Butte.

Johnny D. Shaves Off Respect!

In an unexpected late game move, John DeCarvalho caved to outside pressure and
naired his upper lip. Aviator, you're out of line!

Celebrate The Season: The Season of Facial Hair!

Sooo...where do you guys want to go for our little celebration of our manliness? It was suggested last Saturday that we make our way down to Georgetown (the home of Seattle facial hair, I hear) on Friday and start fights! Or drink. Whatever.

When would you guys like to meet? 6:00? 7:00? Where?

Just trying to organize!

Youngest Mustache in Contest Threatens to Take Crown!

Young Jack F. was recently spotted sporting a striking stache modeled after that of his veteran mustache growing father. Rumor has it that Jack's grandfather may also be furthering the family mustache tradition but no photo has surfaced yet. Paparazzi are anxiously awaiting the first shot.

Think you've got the best stache in the contest? Post your picture here.

Montana In Agreement - Handlebar is Best!

In a rare show of uniformity, Montana has unanimously selected the handlebar mustache as their mustache of choice. Even Borgman, who threatened non-compliance with the annual Month 0' Mustache now seems pleased.

New York Out of Fashion?

New York, the city notorious for its trendsetters and fashionistas, major fashion publications, the most gorgeous models and the wealthiest social elite is often heralded as the fashion capital of the world. So how can it be that the entire area seems to be devoid of September's hottest fashion item - The Stache?

In an effort to keep New York one step ahead of Paris and Milan, Ryan A. selflessly took his Mustache on a grass roots fashion crusade through all the buroughs of New York. Said Ryan, "Upon arriving I couldn't believe the complete and utter lack of mustaches. Even the usual suspects - cops, firemen, and the creepy guys hanging out in the playgrounds seemed to be missing the stache. So I used that entire city like a runway. Expect to see the mustache popping up as the next must-have fashion item soon."

Andy B. to spit in face of heritage?

Wilfred T. Borgman
In a shock to many, recent comments indicate that Andy B. (White Trash Trailer 4 Life) will choose to cast his heritage aside and abstain from the Month o' Mustache. Most dissappointed was Andy B's own great-grandfather, Wilfred, who stated, "Mustaches are a way of life for us - its what we do and who we are, dag-nabbit. My pappy had a mustache and his pappy before him had a mustache so if Andy can't find it in himself to make the family proud, maybe he just ain't cut out to be no part of this family!"
