Grow the long, wear them proud, and for god's sake keep them waxed.

Maybe its the start of football season, the changing leaves or even just the chill in the air but there's just something about Fall that makes a man want to grow a mustache. But why grow one alone when you can do so with a group of friends and some strangers?

September 1st marks the start of the Rainier Group and Friends' 3rd annual "Month o' Mustache". Details can be found in the posts below but basically grow a mustache for a month, revel in it, and then get together with other mustachioed friends at the end of the month to celebrate your accomplishment

The mustaches are coming! The mustaches are coming!

Many have questioned whether the much loved "Month o' Mustache" can survive without my constant supervision and I stand here bare-lipped and ready to tell you that it can AND it will. So without further ado, I pronounce the commencement of the 3rd annual "Month o' Mustache".
  1. WHAT? One FULL month of growing mustaches with a bunch of friends and some strangers. All styles of mustache are accepted but keep the accessories (soul patches, goatees, beards) to a minimum.
  2. WHO? Anybody and everybody willing to demonstrate their swinging 70s style.
  3. WHY? Male bonding through mutual humiliation. Ha, we all know its really for the ladies!
  4. WHEN? Technically, September 1-30 but feel free to extend it if you like. In reality, all participants should plan to meet with other mustachioed men after work on Friday, September 28th and we'll just trust that you keep them until the end of the month.
  5. HOW? Simple - let it grow. Then come here to post your mustache inspired thoughts, photos, tips, etc. Everyone can comment but in order to post articles, I'll have to add you as an author so get in touch with me if I haven't already added you. I'm still figuring this out so expect some bumps along the way.

On that note, I leave you with this final piece of advice: Grow them long, wear them proud, and for god's sake keep them waxed.
